What is the day all about?
Armed Forces Day is a chance to show your support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving troops to Service families, veterans and cadets.
What will be going on? Details subject to confirmation
A PARADE
12:20. Parade blessing by the Dean of Gloucester Cathedral
12:29. BBMF Fly Past (weather permitting and time subject to confirmation)
12:30. Parade starts from Gloucester Cathedral to the Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum at Gloucester Docks - see route image below. If the flypast is late the parade will still start at 12:30 so as not to impact the rest of the programme.

FAMILY DAY AT GLOUCESTER DOCKS
From 12:30 to 17:00
Come and meet our Forces, visit the stalls & displays!. Stalls will hopefully include the below and more:
ARRC Sp Bn, 6th Rifles, Gloucester Division Marine Cadets , Sea & Marine Cadets, County ACF, MPCT, Air Cadets 181 Sqn, Police Cadets, RBL Glos City, WRAC , Combat Stress & Forces Hub, Food - Lydbrook RBL, Walking with the Wounded, RAFA, Aden Veterans Association , Gloucester Armed Forces and Veterans Breakfast Club, Gloucester Rugby Foundation, Glos County Council AF Covenant, NHS Op Courage, NHS Glos Foundations Trust, Angel Ices, Freemasons , AFCEA UK West Chapter
There will be entertainment from the Military Band if we are allocated one, and local entertainers too.

Showing support for the Armed Forces provides a much valued morale boost for the troops and their families. You can find out more about what they are doing at home and around the world by visiting the official sites of the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force.
The public show their support for the Armed Forces on Armed Forces Day, but did you know the Armed Forces Covenant outlines how the Government, businesses and communities support Armed Forces personnel past and present throughout the year?
You can sponsor us via direct bank transfer or cheque and have the chance to win some money via the Gloucester Lottery, follow the link below for how to sponsor. We are a volunteer committee and rely on sponsorship and donations to put the event on, any amount is warmly welcomed.

This is a non-profit venture and funds must be raised to organise and manage the day to make it as relevant, suitable, safe and enjoyable as we can. We would be extremely grateful if you would consider sponsoring the event. Any amount you may be able to afford would be welcomed.
